of Seasonal Produce Donated
Since 2009, Orange Home Grown has donated over 120,000 lbs of locally grown, seasonal produce to volunteers, schools, homeless shelters, restaurants, chefs, student groups, and neighbors.
10,000 lbs
of Citrus Harvested Annually
The Hart Park Grove Gleaning Program harvests about 10,000 lbs of citrus annually. This produce gets donated to local organizations supporting residents in need to help reduce food waste. Orange Home Grown has been supporting the City of Orange in the harvesting and maintenance of the Hart Park Grove since 2017.

Each Year
Since the Education Farm’s opening in 2017 we have hosted over 250+ free community events. Orange Home Grown on average hosts about 50+ events at the Education Farm and farmer's market each year. These events range from vermiculture classes, plant sales, home school and college group visits, summer camp visits, and larger events like Bug Day.

More than 55,000+ volunteer hours have gone into supporting the OHG Education Farm and Farmers Market by over 1,225 different volunteers since it broke ground in 2017.

Since 2013 the Orange Home Grown Foundation has awarded 64 scholarships valued at over $105,000 to high school and college level students.

Youth Food Literacy Students
Since 2017, six Youth Food Literacy Program classes have graduated, totaling 115 students. To date, $58,950 in scholarships have been awarded to those who completed the course.

Since 2018 $9,500 has been awarded to 11 Orange Home Grown volunteers through the Kevin Hogate Volunteer Award and OHG Volunteer Awards.

Donated to Local Animal Rescue Groups
Over $17,500 has been donated over the last 5 years by the former Park Your Paws team to support local and regional animal rescue groups. These donations come from the generous tips by our market patrons. (PYP program currently on pause)
